We believe that all children should have food to eat, a place to sleep and a school to attend. Yet, in Tanzania, more than 2 million children don’t have these necessities and the government has no money to provide them!
We are The Jim Arden Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located in the United States. We are helping create better lives for the orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children of Tanzania.
No one at the Foundation takes a salary. Further, more than 90% of our donations go directly to programs that help the children of Tanzania!
TACODA, short for Tanzanian Community Development Alliance, is a non-governmental (NGO) founded in Tanzania to help future generations of Tanzanians overcome a life of disease and poverty. We do this by giving orphaned, abandoned and at-risk children an opportunity for a better life.
Our "partnership" provides these children with food, clothing, healthcare, schooling and emergency shelter. Together with volunteers from the US and other countries, we expose them to the wider world and their opportunities within it.
Through our other initiatives in Tanzania, we help many more at-risk children avoid a lifetime of poverty and disease.
Please join our cause!
Karibu! or Welcome!
"When it comes to the TACODA children, they simply grab your heart and hug your being. They are all respectful, resourceful, caring, well-fed, and robust. They have pride in being a TACODA child, yet each is also his own developing person.
